Hogwarts Decorating: Honeydukes & Weasley's Wizard Wheezes

One of the very best parts of wizarding shops is the colorful collection of magical findings. I had a blast designing all the labels for our Honeydukes jars and the items in the Weasley's joke shop!

After making the sign for Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, it was time to load the shop up with all the twin's treats. :) First, we moved all our games, crosswords and Madlib books to the little corner in our living room since the Weasleys are all about fun and games.

We labeled the card games as "Muggle Magic"-- a section in their store where they sold non-magical magic tricks and such.

Then, we put some tiny sparklers we had left over from the 4th of July (when we weren't allowed to do fireworks because of the burn ban) for the Weasley's "Wildfire Wiz-bangs" firecrackers.

Then, we had some wands that we made and wanted to paint crazy colors. We stuck those in a vase labeled "Trick Wands: fun with every flick."

Finally, we put some Halloween candy in glass containers we had and labeled them with names of some of the prank candies Fred & George sold. "Ton-Tongue Toffee" and "Skiving Snackboxes."

But (of course!) the sweets don't stop there! We used our kitchen jars that normally hold nuts and chocolate and such to house some Honeydukes sweets. :)

We have managed to snag a few treats before the trick-or-treaters eat them up this Wednesday, and it's so much fun pretending you're eating wizard treats instead of the plain old muggle ones. :)
